Hospitality means everyone is welcome. We want this website, and the gatherings we create, to be usable and enjoyable for as many people as possible.
Our standard
We design and test this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In practice that means:
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
- Text and controls are designed to meet contrast requirements.
- Forms have clear labels and describe errors in text, next to the field and in a summary.
- Motion is subtle, the homepage slideshow can be paused, and animation is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Layouts adapt to phones, tablets, large screens and zoomed text.
Known limitations
- The concept photographs are hosted by a third party. They have text descriptions, but if they fail to load you will see a plain colored panel in their place.
- Proposal PDFs generated in the client portal are produced for printing and may not be fully tagged for assistive technology. The same information is always available on the proposal’s web page in the portal.
Accessibility at your event
Tell us about accessibility needs for you or your guests, from seating and mobility to how food is served. There is a place for this in the Grand Menu Concierge, and we will plan around it with you.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this website is difficult to use, we want to know and we want to fix it. Please contact us, choose “Website accessibility” as the topic, and tell us the page and the problem. If you would rather give us your event details another way, say so and we will arrange it.
